About me…
This is where I waffle about myself for a bit
As the oldest grandchild in a big family, I was handed the babies as soon as I could hold them! I loved looking after the little ones so much, including my 2 younger siblings, that I only ever wanted to work with children. This eventually led to a Primary teaching qualification with 20+ years teaching, mostly in Early Years, which I absolutely loved.
I was at my last school for 16 years, so I was lucky enough to see lots of children grow up, and sometimes taught whole families as they went through the school. I taught every year group from Nursery to year 6, although most of my time was spent with Reception. Learning through play and child centred learning are the foundation of my ethos.
I am also a Mum of 2 girls, one grown up and one secondary age, and a proud aunt to my 3 nephews and 3 nieces.
I am really looking forward to using my experience to create a welcoming and nurturing atmosphere in my home for more little ones.
My childminding journey has been supported by tiney, and I will be working with them to help families and children to get the best possible experience.
